We're recruiting for Nowhere 2026!

call for applications

Why join? Well – we offer:

  • (hold your breath) access to a shower (!), a water cube (!!), and a shade tarp (!!!)
  • cold fridge space, and daily meals warm and vegan or vegetarian
  • location in a semi-quiet zone, no amplified sound
  • for more details see our camp set-up overview

All you need:

  • a ticket for the event
  • means to get there and back again
  • tolerance for Discord and the occasional group video call to organize things
  • about 150€ for our camp fee (greater sums welcome to also support low-income options, the latter available on case-by-case discussion)
  • some time and energy to put into our barrio

application process

Here's our application form!

We aim to answer every applicant, even if we can't offer them a spot. And no need to AI your answers: We want to know about you, not some polished, perfect image. We claim inclusivity as one of our barrio principles, and so want to hear from you even if, or especially if, you feel a bit odd or off or out-of-place.

but surely you'll have some selection criteria?

Indeed we can honor radical inclusion only up to a point: Our barrio's size is limited, and we need to ensure a ratio of certain skills and capacities to make it happen. Consequently we may have to select some applications over some others. If push comes to shove (certainly if below items still lack coverage), we'll probably prioritize applicants …

  • available to help with build and strike
  • with a love for cooking
  • non-suicidal with power tools

But we remain committed to provide at least some spots for people who wouldn't claim themselves in above list. So please don't let it scare you away from applying – we trust that everyone can contribute something useful, and if you feel lost about what yours could be, let's figure it out together!

P.S.: After years of our charismatic camp lead Christine holding everything together with irreproducible chaos magick, she's now tasked us to govern ourselves. Which to us means some major restructuring, and especially reaching out for people …

  • keen to design and build new camp structures (physical and organizational)
  • ambitious to take on new responsibilities, i.e. lead roles
  • eager to join not just once but repeatedly
